Privacy

The short version

No accounts. No tracking cookies. No ads. We use Plausible for cookieless pageview analytics and Rollbar for error reports. The AI generator sends your prompt to our hosted API and stores the resulting template by a slug so you can share or revisit it. We don't sell data and we don't have anything to sell.

What we don't collect

No login, no session, no profile. We don't ask for your name, email, or workplace. We don't fingerprint browsers, we don't set advertising cookies, and we don't run third-party tracking scripts.

If you generate a template, we don't know it was you. If you come back tomorrow, we don't know it was you then either.

What we do collect

Plausible analytics. Cookieless, GDPR-compliant pageview counts — which pages get visited, roughly where in the world from, what referrer brought you. No personal identifiers, no cross-site profile. The data is aggregated and we use it to decide what to write next.

Rollbar error tracking. If the app throws an error, Rollbar receives the stack trace, the URL of the page, and the browser version. We do not deliberately log personal data into errors. If you triggered the error by typing something into the generator, your input may end up in the report — that's the only place free-form text would land.

What gets stored

When you use the AI generator, your prompt — the team type, language, topic count, and theme — goes to our backend. The backend calls a third-party LLM provider, gets a template back, and stores it under a slug (the URL pattern /:templateId). That slug is how you share or revisit the template later.

Stored templates are not tied to your identity because we don't have one for you. They sit at a URL anyone with the link can visit. Don't put confidential information into a generator prompt.

Third parties

The site talks to four external services and no others:

  • The TeamRetro AI templates API (our backend, not a third party in the legal sense — it's us).
  • An LLM provider, called by our backend, to do the generation.
  • Plausible, for analytics.
  • Rollbar, for error tracking.

No advertising networks. No data brokers. No social-media pixels.

Your rights, contacting us

Because we don't hold an identifier for you, there's no account to delete. If you generated a template and want it taken down, email info@teamretro.com with the slug and we'll remove it.

For the formal version covering TeamRetro the company — the platform at teamretro.com, customer accounts, data processing agreements — see the canonical TeamRetro privacy policy. This page describes only the standalone Retrospective Ideas tool.
